To generate greater fire safety and prevention awareness in the general public through national campaigns, exhibitions, advertising and public relations activities and to project the Council's corporate image through publicity efforts.

Booklet which provides an insight into the philosophy
and objectives of the Council, a quarterly newsletter,
Flashpoint, to provide readers with updated information
on the Council's current activities and lessons learnt
from fire incidents.

Organise multi-faceted publicity drives
to effectively drive home the fire prevention message
and to enhance the visibility of the NFEC such as advertising
on bus-panels, distribution of bookmarks and stickers,
and fire safety messages in the mail.

Introduce the Fire Safety Mascot, FiDrant, to captivate the interest of children on fire prevention.

Arrange telecast of filmlets and broadcast of fire safety messages, songs and quizzes over radio and television.

Designed a purpose-made mobile fire prevention exhibition container to reach out to residents in the residential neighbourhoods.

Organises publicity programmes for nation-wide Fire Safety Campaign and International Fire Safety Conferences such as Fire, Safety and Rescue Asia to expose local professionals engaged in engineering to keep abreast with the latest developments in the field.
