Servicing and Maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers
Under Singapore Standard, Code of Practice 55 For Use And Maintenance Of Portable Fire Extinguishers, the owner or occupant of a property is responsible for the inspection and maintenance of the fire extinguishers installed at the premises to ensure that they are in good working order. However, maintenance and servicing of portable extinguishers shall only be performed by trained persons of an approved company authorised by SCDF and having available the proper types of tools, recharge materials, lubricants, and manufacturer's recommended parts.

is given.
