The Fire Safety Seminar 2005, a full-day
seminar organised by the National Fire and Civil Emergency
Preparedness Council (NFEC), was held on 31 August 2005 for
fire safety practitioners at the Furama Riverfront Hotel.
This is the fourth consecutive year that the seminar has been
organised. One of the key components of this annual event
is the interactive workshop session. For 2005, participants
analysed case studies of fire incidents at the workshop and
brainstormed measures which could have prevented the fires.
The summary of the workshop discussion and analysis is now available, as separate fire safety checklists for industrial and commercial premises. These checklists are for information only and should not be used to substitute official or approved fire safety checklists.
For those who are interested in knowing
more about the upcoming Fire Safety Seminar in 2006, please
do look out for details of the Seminar which will be posted
on the NFEC website by July 2006. |
